On December 16, 2024, at approximately 2:10 p.m., 53-year-old BeJay Orth was fatally shot near the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. Officers from the Stockton Police Department responded to reports of a shooting on Princeton Avenue, between Pershing and Grange avenues, where they found Orth suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
