Montray Dijon Allen, 31, male, stepped into the warm Sacramento night in the early minutes of August 9, 2025, outside the North Avenue Apartments in Del Paso Heights. Around 12:30 a.m., police were called to the 900 block of North Avenue for a shooting; officers found an adult man with at least one gunshot wound, and despite life-saving efforts and a rush to the hospital, he did not survive. The Sacramento County Coroner later identified the victim as Allen.
