In the early morning hours of July 5, 2025, the life of 3-year-old Honesty Cheadle was tragically cut short in a senseless act of violence in Washington, D.C. The young female was seated in a parked car with her family in the 1000 block of 14th Street, Southeast, having just enjoyed a fireworks display. At approximately 3:03 a.m., a man, later identified as 24-year-old Charles Rucker, allegedly approached the vehicle and opened fire, striking Honesty.
