Andree’ Mosley Jr., 19, a Black male from Ellendale, Delaware, was shot just after 2 a.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2025, outside a home in the 24000 block of Rivers Edge Drive in the Stonewater Creek area east of Millsboro. Troopers responded to reports of gunfire, rendered aid to Mosley outside the residence, and found two additional men wounded nearby; Mosley was pronounced dead at the scene while the other victims were taken to a hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
Investigators determined that Mosley and two other men had come to the home to see a woman who knew both Mosley and a 25-year-old man, Marcus Harris. According to Delaware State Police, an argument between Mosley and the woman escalated into a physical altercation between Mosley and Harris, during which Harris shot Mosley and then fired at the other two men; the woman in the home was not injured.
Harris was arrested inside the residence without incident. He was charged with first-degree murder, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, and three counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony; he was arraigned and committed to the Department of Correction on a $480,000 cash bond. Authorities publicly identified Mosley on June 16 and noted his residence as Ellendale. Local coverage also remembered him as a recent Cape Henlopen High School graduate and former high-school football player.
