In the pre-dawn hours of May 20, 2025, the quiet hum of an idling car on the side of the road near Irving and Woodland streets in Manchester, Connecticut, drew the attention of local authorities. Inside the vehicle, officers discovered the unresponsive body of 24-year-old Jordan Patterson, a Black/African American male from Windsor Locks.
