In the early afternoon of a Sunday in Sheridan, Colorado, a burst of violence shattered the quiet of a residential street. On September 21, 2025, Scott Yarmon, a 44-year-old male, had just entered his vehicle in the 3300 block of South Zuni Street when he was fatally shot. The incident occurred just after 1 p.m., with the assailant wasting no time, fleeing the scene immediately after the shot was fired.
