In an East Phoenix neighborhood, on May 19, 2025, the lives of a long-married couple came to a tragic end. Charlotte Trewhella, an 80-year-old female, was found deceased in her home near 43rd Street and Camelback Road from at least one gunshot wound. Phoenix police officers responded to a shooting call at the residence around 3:20 p.m. and discovered both Charlotte and her 81-year-old husband, Mark Trewhella, with gunshot wounds.
