On a summer evening in Jacksonville, Arkansas, the life of 18-year-old D'Andre Augustus Gooden was tragically cut short. On Thursday, July 17, 2025, Gooden was at Dupree Park, near the playground area on South Redmond Road, when he was shot. In an attempt to escape the scene, the young man drove his black passenger vehicle away from the park. However, his flight was brief, ending in a crash at the intersection of West Main Street and T.P. White Drive.
