On July 17, 2025, 52-year-old Brian Lee Masterson, a white man, was found shot to death at a residence on Allen Ridge Road in the Empire community of Walker County, Alabama. The county coroner identified Brian Lee Masterson, 52, of Jasper, and his body was sent to Huntsville for autopsy.
