In the small town of Anaconda, Montana, the morning of August 1, 2025, was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 64-year-old Nancy Lauretta Kelley, a White female, and three others. A retired nurse who had found a second calling as a bartender at the local Owl Bar, Kelley was known for her compassion and love of socializing. That fateful Friday, what began as a typical day at work ended in tragedy when a man opened fire inside the establishment.
