On May 31, 2004, Lottie Mae Thompson, a 31-year-old African American woman from Syracuse, New York, was found dead in her apartment on West Onondaga Street. She was a mother of three and a lifelong resident of Syracuse, known to have attended Fowler High School and been a member of St. Lucy’s Church.
