Christine Sharrock, a 15-year-old white Australian girl, was brutally murdered on January 11, 1965, in what became known as the Wanda Beach Murders. She and her best friend, Marianne Schmidt, also 15 and of German descent, were neighbors in West Ryde, Sydney.
