Kevin Franchow, a 38-year-old man, was tragically shot and killed on July 26, 2009, at Ansan Sister City Park in Las Vegas, Nevada. Franchow, who had the intellectual capacity of a 10-year-old, regularly walked in the park as part of his routine to manage his diabetes. On the night of his death, two suspects robbed a woman at gunpoint in the park before encountering Franchow. They proceeded to shoot him, leaving him fatally wounded.
