Teaira Batey, a 28-year-old African American woman, was born on March 26, 1986, in Chicago, Illinois. She moved to St. Paul, Minnesota, at the age of four and graduated from Highland Park Senior High School in 2004. Teaira was described by her family as a kind-hearted and trusting individual.
