Alysia Greenwade, a 34-year-old Native American and African-American woman, was murdered on April 1, 2001, in Florissant, Missouri. Born on July 30, 1967, in St. Louis, Missouri, she had faced a difficult life marked by addiction and incarceration. At the time of her death, she was living with a local minister, Rev.
