In 2021, a chilling development emerged when Jason Alan Thornburg was arrested in Fort Worth, Texas, and charged with the capital murders of three individuals whose dismembered bodies were found in a burning dumpster. Thornburg confessed to these killings and claimed they were part of a series of 'Bible sacrifices.' He also admitted to murdering two other individuals, including his girlfriend in Arizona. Though the name was redacted in the arrest warrant, family members identified the victim as Tanya Begay.
