On September 13, 1986, the body of George Willingham, a 30-year-old Black male, was discovered in a field near a freeway leading to Stone Mountain in Atlanta, Georgia. His clothing was in disarray—his pants and underwear pulled down around his ankles, and his shirt open—suggesting a sexual encounter prior to his death.
