Robert L. Williams, a 38-year-old White man from Eau Claire, Wisconsin, was killed on July 15, 1985, in the Spring Brook area of Dunn County. Williams worked for a computer company and had become acquainted with Alvin Taylor, a traveling nightclub singer, after the two met in 1984. What initially appeared to be a friendship eventually became part of a series of killings that investigators later attributed to Taylor.
