Vivian Irizarry, a 54-year-old Hispanic woman from Rochester, New York, was found dead in early November 2005. Her body was discovered in the basement of an apartment building on Spencer Street, where she had reportedly been visiting a longtime acquaintance. The victim was found nude except for a single sock, with visible signs of blunt force trauma and strangulation. Blood was present on her face, and a rope was tied around her neck.
