Sandra Blanding, a 39-year-old woman from Rochester, New York, was fatally shot on the morning of March 19, 2025. Officers responded to Spencer Street, a residential area north of Lyell Avenue, after reports of a person lying on the ground. Upon arrival, first responders discovered Blanding unresponsive on the sidewalk in front of a vacant house.
