In the winter of 1981, a night out for a young Caucasian woman in Salem, Oregon, ended in a tragedy that would remain a haunting mystery for decades. Terry Cox Monroe, a 21-year-old female, was with friends at the Oregon Museum Tavern on February 12th. At some point in the evening, she told her companions she was stepping outside for some fresh air but never returned.
