Janice Bolyard, a 22-year-old white female, was murdered on February 27, 1970, in Des Plaines, Illinois. Born in Toledo, Ohio, she had recently graduated from Northwestern University in 1969 and was working in the research and testing division of a chemical company in Des Plaines. She was engaged to be married, with her wedding planned for June of that year. At the time of her death, she was living in Evanston, Illinois.
