On April 16, 1992, 21-year-old Hispanic female Maria del Carmen Estrada was walking to work in Houston, Texas, when she encountered Anthony Allen Shore. Shore, a former telephone repairman and wrecker driver, offered her a ride. According to his later confession, he made unwanted sexual advances toward Maria del Carmen Estrada, which she resisted. He claimed to have 'freaked out' and overpowered her. He sexually assaulted and strangled the 21-year-old Hispanic woman using a nylon cord, which he ...
