Layla Steele, a 24-year-old woman from Houston, Texas, tragically lost her life on July 1, 2021. She was shot multiple times while holding her 1-year-old son, Zeus, during a domestic dispute with her estranged boyfriend, Zacchaeus Rashad Gaston. The incident occurred at an apartment complex in the Westchase area of Houston. Despite emergency responders' efforts to save her, Layla succumbed to her injuries.
