On January 4, 1981, the body of 43-year-old African American woman Jennie Morman was discovered in her apartment in Cleveland, Ohio. She had been strangled with a scarf, and her face was covered with two pillows. At the time, Morman's daughter was in a relationship with Reginald Perkins, who was later identified as a suspect in the case.
