Eva Jones, an 80-year-old Black woman, was one of the victims in a series of murders known as the Golden Years Murders, which occurred in Richmond, Virginia, between 1990 and 1996. The perpetrator targeted elderly women who lived alone, with the first six victims, including Eva Jones, all being Black and stabbed to death. The remaining victims, who were white, were strangled. The murders caused widespread fear and outrage in the community, leading to increased security measures among residents.
