On January 14, 2025, Heidy Montalvo, a 23-year-old Hispanic woman from Laredo, Texas, was found dead alongside another individual in what authorities determined to be a murder-suicide. The incident occurred in the 1800 block of Barrios Street, where law enforcement discovered both victims with fatal gunshot wounds to the head.
