Anthony Egeonu, a 39-year-old security guard, was fatally shot on January 24, 2025, in Dallas, Texas. The incident occurred late at night at a CVS store in downtown Dallas, where Egeonu was employed as a security officer. He confronted two juveniles who were allegedly shoplifting, leading to a violent altercation in which he was shot three times. Emergency responders transported him to a local hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries.
