Death by Force

Jonathan Orta, a 33-year-old man from San Antonio, Texas, was fatally shot on January 29, 2025. The incident occurred at a West Side apartment complex in the 200 block of Torreon Street. Authorities responded to reports of gunfire just after 5:30 p.m. Upon arrival, first responders found Orta suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office later ruled his death a homicide.
