Ariel Bryce Levy, a 28-year-old woman from Fort Worth, Texas, tragically lost her life on March 10, 2025. She was found deceased in her apartment, and authorities later confirmed that she had suffered a fatal gunshot wound. Levy, who was originally from Dallas, Texas, was described by family and friends as a kind and wonderful person, leaving loved ones devastated by her sudden and violent passing.
The investigation into Levy’s death quickly led authorities to her boyfriend and
roommate, 30-year-old Dylan McLean Jones. According to police reports, Jones appeared at a friend’s house in distress, claiming he had "blacked out" and believed he had harmed his roommate. The friend, alarmed by Jones' statements and noticing what appeared to be dried blood under his fingernails, contacted law enforcement. When officers arrived at the residence, Jones had already fled the scene.
Later that evening, police spotted Jones driving Levy’s black SUV and attempted to stop him. Instead of complying, Jones led officers on a dangerous high-speed chase through Fort Worth and surrounding areas. The pursuit lasted nearly 38 minutes, during which Jones ran multiple red lights, drove on the wrong side of the road, and reached speeds of up to 90 miles per hour. The chase finally ended in Hurst, Texas, where Jones was taken into custody.
Authorities charged Jones with capital murder and evading arrest. Investigators recovered a handgun from Jones that matched shell casings found near Levy’s body in their apartment. He is currently being held in the Fort Worth jail, and no bond has been set. The case remains under investigation as Levy’s family and friends seek justice for her untimely death.
