On the morning of March 29, 2025, 18-year-old Power Allen, a Black male from Arlington, Texas, was fatally shot during a violent altercation at an apartment complex located in the 800 block of West Mitchell Street. Police responded to reports of a shooting around 6:46 a.m. and found Allen unresponsive with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly before 8 a.m.
