In the afternoon hours of May 3, 2025, a burst of gunfire shattered the calm near 24th Place and Capitol Drive in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. When the chaos subsided, Asonta Lamont James Woodley, a 24-year-old Black/African American male, lay fatally wounded.
