In the summer of 2016, the life of Billy Hill, a 44-year-old Black/African American man, was tragically cut short on the streets of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On August 9th, Hill was fatally wounded in an incident that also claimed another life, marking a grim moment in the city's struggle with violence. He was a barber at Raquel's Hair Salon, known within his community.
The events of that day unfolded near the intersection of 36th Street and West Congress Street, where Hill suffered a fatal
gunshot wound. Another individual was also killed at the scene, having been stabbed. This double homicide was later included in the 2016 Annual Report by the Milwaukee Homicide Review Commission, officially classifying Hill's death as a homicide.
Despite the acknowledgment of his death as a homicide by city officials, information regarding the investigation has been scarce.
