Kyle Mitchell, a 27-year-old man from Waco, Texas, was found dead at the Brookside Apartments in Hewitt, Texas, on the night of April 3, 2025. The Hewitt Police Department responded to a call around 11 p.m. from a woman reporting that a man had been shot multiple times. Upon arrival, officers discovered Mitchell inside an apartment with several gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:38 p.m. by medical personnel.
