While officers were still investigating the scene, they received another report of a gunshot victim—Kevin Marshall—who had already arrived at the hospital. He, too, refused to speak with law enforcement regarding the incident.
Following an investigation, Laurinburg police arrested a 16-year-old suspect in connection with the shooting. The juvenile was charged with murder and is currently being held in a juvenile detention facility.
