On April 20, 2025, 23-year-old African American male Tyreke Fletcher lost his life to gun violence in Fort Worth, Texas. The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. in the 5500 block of James Avenue in South Fort Worth. Upon arrival, police discovered two individuals with gunshot wounds to their upper bodies; both were pronounced dead at the scene. A third individual, also shot, was transported to a local hospital by private vehicle and later released after treatment.
