Murdered

Damon Soriano, 39, was shot and killed on July 21, 2011, in East Oakland. The shooting occurred in the 900 block of 84th Avenue around 7:10 p.m. Though details surrounding the incident are limited, it appears that Soriano was involved in some altercation that led to the fatal shooting. He died at the scene from his injuries. Unfortunately, the investigation faced significant challenges, as is often the case with homicides in the area, with no clear suspects or motives identified at the time .
