On the evening of January 4, 2025, 18-year-old white male Jaidon Mangas was found with at least one gunshot wound in an alley behind 511 Congress Street in South Toledo, Ohio. Emergency responders transported him to the University of Toledo Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. An autopsy conducted by the Lucas County Coroner's Office determined that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the torso, and the manner of death was classified as homicide.
