On the evening of February 12, 2025, the life of 32-year-old Dylan Ray Larymore was tragically cut short. The male victim was fatally shot at a residence on Candy Lane in Darlington County, South Carolina, around 9:30 p.m. When authorities arrived at the scene, they found Larymore had already succumbed to his injuries. The Darlington County Coroner, Todd Hardee, officially pronounced him dead at the scene.
An investigation into the shooting was launched by the Darlington County
Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division and the coroner's office. The investigation quickly led to the identification of a suspect, 19-year-old Jeffery Daniel Booker. According to reports, Booker is accused of shooting Larymore in the chest with a handgun. Following the shooting, Booker allegedly stole Larymore's 2024 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and fled the scene.
Shortly after the incident, Jeffery Daniel Booker was apprehended by law enforcement. He was subsequently charged with murder and also faced accusations related to the theft of the victim's vehicle. Booker was booked into the W. Glenn Campbell Detention Center, where he is being held without bond as the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting continues.
Dylan Larymore was born in Florence on May 28, 1992. Described as having a vibrant and infectious zest for life, he was a fan of horror movies, motorcycles, and fishing. He was known for his big personality and his ability to make everyone feel welcome and cared for. He is survived by his son, Christopher.
