On the evening of January 18, 2025, a tragic incident unfolded in Bunnlevel, North Carolina, resulting in the death of 26-year-old African American male, Marquis Shamond Woodson. The Harnett County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of gunfire at a birthday party on Nutgrass Road, where they found Woodson lying unresponsive in the yard. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Another individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the same altercation.
