Charles Edward Bias, a 51-year-old male of Caucasian ethnicity from Bunnlevel, North Carolina, tragically passed away on January 12, 2021. He was the owner of Kerkenbush Automotive and was well-regarded in his community. Bias was shot multiple times at his business located in the 6800 block of U.S. 401 South in Bunnlevel. Despite the efforts of deputies and EMS to save him, he succumbed to his injuries.
Following Bias's death, a swift investigation led to the arrest of three individuals. Courtney Christine Carrol, 31, Jeremy Devonta Campbell, 28, and Jordan Issac Nathaniel Stone, 20, were each charged with first-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. The suspects were taken into custody and held at the Harnett County Detention Center without bond. They were due in court shortly after their arrest.
