In the Strawberry Mansion neighborhood of Philadelphia, a 15-year-old Black female named Angelique Holloman was killed in a hail of gunfire on the evening of Wednesday, December 18, 2024. The shooting occurred on the 2700 block of North Dover Street, where Angelique resided. At approximately 7:08 p.m., Philadelphia Police officers responded to reports of the shooting and discovered Angelique suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and unresponsive.
The officers swiftly transported her in their patrol vehicle to Temple University Hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Investigators at the scene recovered a weapon and at least 27 shell casings, indicating the intensity of the violence that unfolded. Despite the evidence collected, no arrests have been made in connection with Angelique's murder, and the case remains an open investigation. Police have not publicly released information regarding a possible motive or any potential suspects.
Angelique was remembered as a compassionate and vibrant teenager with a great sense of humor. She was a student who also worked part-time at McDonald's and had aspirations of becoming a foster mother to help children in her community. Her life was tragically cut short just a week before Christmas, leaving her family and friends devastated.
