Anthony Salas, a 20-year-old man from Austin, Texas, was tragically killed on May 3, 2025, in Del Valle while attempting to recover a stolen vehicle. According to reports, Salas was shot and then struck by a vehicle near Ross Road and Thome Valley Drive, close to Del Valle Elementary School.
