On March 30, 2025, 42-year-old Black male Raikel Brown was fatally shot on Rae Street in Lake City, South Carolina. The Florence County Sheriff's Office reported that the incident occurred following an altercation between Brown and another individual. Brown succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
