On the afternoon of January 27, 2019, 20-year-old African American male Jaivon Lee Jones was fatally shot at the Coker Mobile Home Trailer Park on South Morris Street in Lake City, South Carolina. The incident occurred shortly before 1:00 p.m. Emergency responders transported Mr. Jones to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. An autopsy was scheduled to determine the exact cause of death.
