Kainon McKissick, 15, male, was shot in Lake City, South Carolina, on the afternoon of Monday, October 13, 2025. Police were dispatched around 3:30 p.m. to a shots-fired call on Durant Street. After being struck, the teenager ran toward a footpath near Elm Street, where officers found him and summoned EMS.
