In the small community of Lake City, South Carolina, the life of 15-year-old Kainon McKissick was tragically cut short in a burst of violence. On a Monday in October 2025, the young man, a student at Dr. Ronald E. McNair Junior High School, was shot in the 400 block of Elm Street. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but the severity of his injuries proved to be overwhelming, and he succumbed to them, leaving a void in the hearts of his family and friends.
