On May 11, 2025, 20-year-old Black male Dwaylon Skylar was fatally shot during a confrontation at an apartment complex on Clark Road in Cedar Hill, Texas. Upon arrival, Cedar Hill police officers found Skylar with multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. He was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
