Logan Federico, a 22-year-old woman from Waxhaw, North Carolina, was fatally shot during a home burglary while visiting friends near the University of South Carolina on May 3, 2025. She had returned to a rental home in Columbia, South Carolina, around 3 a.m. after a night out when she encountered 30-year-old Alexander Dickey, who was allegedly breaking into homes along Cypress Street. Dickey reportedly shot Federico in the chest, resulting in her death.
