In the early hours of Sunday, May 4, 2025, the life of 21-year-old Orealius Nelson Jr., an African American male from North Charleston, South Carolina, was tragically cut short. The Charleston County Coroner's Office confirmed that Nelson died from a gunshot wound in what has been ruled a homicide. Originally from James Island, his death has deeply affected his family and the local community.
