On the evening of February 20, 2025, the life of 24-year-old TaQuaila L. Daniels, an African American woman from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was tragically cut short. In the city's Garfield neighborhood, a car crash on Dearborn Street first drew the attention of first responders. The sedan Daniels had been driving reportedly collided head-on with a parked SUV.
However, the scene that unfolded was far more sinister than a mere traffic accident.
Daniels was discovered just outside the driver's door of the vehicle, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the back of her head. Inside the car, in the front passenger seat, was 35-year-old Dameon Hill, who had also been shot and killed in the same manner. As of the most recent reports, no arrests have been made in connection with the murders of TaQuaila Daniels and Dameon Hill.
